With the upcoming release of the newest Nest Learning Thermostat 4th generation, Google has announced they will be ending support for the first three generations of Google Nest Learning Thermostats.
Starting October 25th, 2025, the Nest Learning Thermostat (1st gen, 2011) and Nest Learning Thermostat (2nd gen, 2012) will no longer be supported. This means you will still be able to control your thermostat directly on the device, but not through the Nest or Google Home app.
